Is it possible to be a course creator or non-editing teacher and not show up in the participant list in a course? We have two support people who need to be able to enroll students, etc. but don't want to be enrolled in the course or show up in the participant list. It is confusing a lot of our faculty because they don't know who these people are and they think they are enrolled in the class.
Thanks, Lauren
Not at present.
Our solution is to add "CTY Staff -- " to the first name slot so the faculty can distinguish from students.
It is possible to make site wide roles invisible to students, just not to teachers.

Good tip, thanks for your help!
Another nice item about Moodle is that, after your enrollers are done doing their work in the classroom, they will slowly slip to the bottom of the list if they don't enter the classroom again (or ever) because active participants move toward the top of the list as more recent logins.
