Dear Moodlers,
How do you promote your colleagues to use Moodle?
Our team have an idea which is exporting one (or more) Moodle course, put it/them on a CD, and spread it to the instructors who might interest to take a look of the courses. When they get the CD, they will have more idea what they can do on Moodle and they will be able to watch how the instructors working via Moodle and restore the course to our Moodle site to modify the course to whatever they want. However, if we use any kind of screen recording software (such as Camtasia or Captivate) to demo the courses, it will take lots of working hours to create the demo course; If we make offline Moodle CD, the technical skills must be a huge barrier to the audiences.
If you have any idea about any kind of tool to help us doing this project, we will be very appreciate of it and we believe that will be helpful to promote Moodle!

I'm not sure what you mean " exporting one (or more) Moodle course, put it/them on a CD". You can't really get a Moodle course to work from a CD. If the teacher's have so poor access to Internet, but have computers, it might be possible to make an XAMP package that includes the courses you want to demo and have a self installer or good instructions (plus a good portion LUCK! smile )

There are lots of already-made very good screen captures of all kinds of Moodle activities. (2-minute; YouTube; MoodleTutorials) Maybe you could burn them onto a CD and distribute. (If some teachers have no Computer but a DVD player, perhaps you could convert (with Super-C or something like that) the videos to a common DVD player file format and distribute. Be aware that TV screens usually have quite low resolution compared to Computer screens, so some things might be useless without editing (zooming in).
