Dear Christopher,

I'm just catching up on all my emails & came across yours, where you upload your moodle to is totally up to you. i.e if it's going to be your main website. Just upload everything inside the moodle-weekly-19/moodle/ folder that was on your pc when you unzipped the moodle-weekly-19 zip file that you downloaded. If its going to run within your main website upload the moodle-weekly-19/moodle/ folder and it's contents.

It would be uploaded to either your www/ or public_html folder on your web hosting company. Using an FTP client. once you have uploaded the folder that you require to your hosting company just go to http://www.yourwebsite.com/ if it's going to be your main website or http://www.yourwebsite.com/moodle/ if it's going to be within your website and the install process will begin automatically. (change http://www.yourwebsite.com/ with your own domain name).

You will need connection details for your database. They normally include:

  • Server - looks something like, (mysql1073.yourserver.net)
  • Database Name (whatever you named your database)
  • User Name (whatever username you have chosen)
  • Password (the password you have chosen for your database)

If I can be further help please contact me

Billy.
