I am building a resource plugin. This plugin requires logging into a remote system. This means server url, username and password. Are there any recommended ways for storing this information in Moodle so that the user does not have to log in remotely each time? Maybe some sort of SSO.

Got the same problem. Would like to use (pdf)files on a remote system from a supplier that requires some kind of authentication.
Don't know if there's a generic solution for this or that the supplier of the requested information (source) needs to make this possible by implementing some kind of API on there site and a plugin into moodle. Or does this already exist?.
