Hi,
it would be usefull to have a "turn editing on/of" link on the main page when the user is able to do it. I just discovered how to manage my home page by mistake, exiting from a course without turning editing off 
.

There is already one there. If you are using a Moodle version older than 1.4 however it is in a different place.
