Languages

We are having difficulty using international characters in Moodle. I can type them in in fields and in the HTML editor, however when I click Save Changes, it returns an error (e.g. when posting to a forum I get "Could not add your post due to an unknown error".

Oddly, if I repeat an international characters six times it works (it also works for multiple instances of six characters).

I have verified that our postgres Moodle database is set to Unicode.
