I am looking to install moodle in a windows 2000 IIS enviornment.  Has anyone out there had success doing this?  Any pitfalls to watch out for?  This newbie needs advice.

Thanks!

only a hint:

if you use ntfs read this, from http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.session-start.php :

A note on Windows installations with an NTFS file structure:

Make sure you give your Internet user account (usually IUSR_MACHINENAME) "Modify" access to the session.save_path directory.  Otherwise session_start() will silently - and oh, so slowly - fail.

("Modify" is a Win2k term, but the concept translates to older IIS installs).

Hi I am running moodle on a IIs environment  with Mysql and php 4just follow the installation facts for moodle and you'll be fine. of course you will need the Mysql windows version  and the php install.

the php and mysql was a no brainer there is so much  software out there not just moodle.

but dont get me wrong moodle is the number one application i use php and mlysql for.

any specific questions you have from my experience  email me at billspeg@sbcglobal.net
