Can create/edit new entries, but cannot edit previous entries

Whenever my moodle users try to update their journals, the entry reverts back to what it was when they started. I have gone in & created a new journal and then edited that entry successfully. But, I cannot edit a previously entered one.

Would anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Scott,

When you create the journal, do you set the 'Days Open' setting to 'Always Open' or have you a time limit (1 week, 2 weeks etc.) set. If you have set a limit, and it has elapsed, you will not be able to edit them. You can check this by going to 'Update this Journal', but if it has elapsed, the journal will not give you an editing button or window.

I get the update button & window to edit. And when I edit the journal & submit it, it reverts back to what was in there when I originally pulled it up.

How would I get to those settings by the way? I can't find them for some reason.

I found where to set how long to keep the journal open. Thank you.

I have found that this is an issue with Firefox. If I try to update the journal's in IE, it works fine. In FF, they won't update. Very weird.

Anyone else see anything like this?
