A couple of our courses have been having issues with the course total calculation. Specifically, a term in the form of ##gi6887## is inserted into the formula, throwing the total into error.
I personally have removed the term from a course, only to have it reappear later. The reappearance does not seem to reflect any backup feature (though it hasn't been completely ruled out). Also, the appearance of the term is not a result of a valid term being converted; it's just an extra term.
Has anyone else experienced this or something similar, and if so, can you help point us to the underlying issue? We are running version 1.9.3

It appears that the built-in "Course total" calculation box in 1.9.3 does not (in some but not all cases?) update when a change is made and submitted; I'm having the same problem (with an entirely different term) tonight. What I'm doing as a workaround is hiding the "Course total" item and adding a new grade item to correctly calculate the total.
