failure posting a message with WYSWYG-editor

Hallo,

I am having a problem with posting messages to a moodle forum. If you copy/paste a few paragraphs of marked up text (eg. Word) and paste it in the editor and submit the message, you end up with a blank page and the message is not added to the forum. The same thing happens if you enter a fairly long plain text message. Small plain text messages work.

I tested it on Safari on Mac OS X, where you have a plain text editor, and there it does not occur. So I guess it is a problem related to the WSYWYG-editor...

Is there any solution to this problem? Because our users mainly type their stuff in Word and than copy it to Moodle and want to keep their markup.

We are running Moodle 1.4

Thanks in advance,

Sten

I've been experiencing something similar. I've upgraded to 1.9.2. When a participant tries to use a word like, "included" in a forum post, a blank screen is shown and the post is not made. Is this a filters thingy?

TIA,
Sean
