Well, my first suggestion would be to update jsMath to a more recent version (3.6 is the current version). There were changes in later version that might affect the layout in Firefox, though I don't know for sure that they will fix your problem, as I haven't seen it before.
Other than that, would it be possible for you to let me log into your Moodle and test this myself? (It is difficult to debug this sort of thing through someone else.) If you want to contact me through the message system to arrange for that privately, that would work fine. I just need a guest account where I can view the quiz myself.
