Where is 'Journal' in my 'add an activity' drop-down?

Where is 'Journal' in my 'add an activity' drop-down?

Hello folks,

I'm using Moodle 1.9.2 plus and I'm quite keen to use the 'journal' module for my students.

I cannot however see the word 'journal' in the 'add an activity' drop-down menu.

I can see the 'journal' file folder in the 'mods' directory when I look at the file tree using my ftp program but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok try site admin>activities> manage activities and see if Journal is hidden (closed eye, greyed out) If it is - open its eye.
