gradebook by period or group

I have my groups developed and student in various groups, which I am assuming his how a teacher can break one course into various periods.

I also have gradebook calculated columns installed, but it does not seperate students by their group or period, thus I get 100 plus students in a single column with no sort by period feature...

Am I missing something here?

I am interested in this as well. Did you ever figure out how to view just one group at a time?

I believe that by using the "visible groups" box you can view the separate groups.

Does anyone know if it is possible to have different weightings for different groups? 

What happens if there are different assignments or quizzes for different groups?
