Moodle documentation: wiki export

Regarding the previous post (appended below) the w2x.php script appears to bomb on any moodle docs URL. As far using raw wikitxt, converting to odt results in grey box material being deleted while conversin to xml results in top headings only. Best option is converting to plain text whereby you lose all formatting ......

It would seem that the best way to copy doc material may be simply to copy and paste to odt, which does a pretty good job of preserving formatting.

*************

While there is a utility for converting html to wiki: http://diberri.dyndns.org/wikipedia/html2wiki/, I have been unable to locate a comparable utility that goes in the other direction that is fully functional (this perhaps coming closest: http://www.nmpotters.org/gallery/Res/Wiki2HTML/example.asp )

Shouldn't there be an easy way to export pages to a non-wiki format?

For those using OpenOffice I found
http://www.activasoft.com/OpenOffice2MediaWiki
and
http://www.ipd.uni-karlsruhe.de/~hauma/odt2txt/ ,
which you can try online.

But I have not found anything that converts media wiki to odt....

I came across a wiki2xml converter here: http://tools.wikimedia.de/~magnus/wiki2xml/w2x.php
but the link is down for maintenance.....

You can export pages from Moodle Docs using http://docs.moodle.org/en/index.php?title=Special:Export
but there is no xslt to convert the xml to anything else save as noted above.

Any suggestions?

Hi Marc,

Is this solved yet or still an issue?

Kind regards,
