We are having problems with the algebra filter. Running /filter/algebra/algebradebug.php shows the following message at step 5. The thing that is interesting about this is the file exists. When I run the command in the shell, it indicates, "No such file or directory." Does anyone have a suggestion on how to resolve this?

I've installed jsmath as a workaround.

I haven't been able to figure out what was causing the original issue, but was able to get around it by installing the mimetex app from Ubuntu and created a symbolic link to mimetex.linux to that version and it works.
