Sri Lanka, we do not have Sinhala Translation of Moodle. The translation would help our universites and schools to increase efficiency in online teaching. The open university open university of Sri Lanka would lead the project.

has successfuly created content in three languages for Srilanka - English, Sinhala and Tamil. In fact content upto secondary is school available for use in Srilanka in three languages. Extending the content and resources to tertiary level may not be diffficult. First any initiative for localised moodle implementation will require the language pack. If there is a project from Open University we will be able to undertake and complete the translation of Moodle. Since we have the experience we will be able to do the moodle localisation.

I am happy saying ,The open university of Sri Lanka(www.ou.ac.lk) is working for the transtation( Sinhala /Tamil language packs).

Now you can download the Sinhala_unicode language pack(basic) for Moodle
Ignore the above si_utf8 version. Reported some files were corrupted in early posted pack si_utf8.
