Hello Vita J, thanks for the feedback - I have started writing a new docs page for training usage and then I found some regressions in my last release related to program custom fields. I am going to fix it today and add more test coverage. New release should be out by Monday.

Subject: Issue using Training Points in Programs (Moodle 4.5)

    Hello,

I have followed all the steps from your documentation and successfully completed steps 1–8. However, I’m encountering two issues with the last part related to using training points in Programs.

When I try to add content to a Program, I don’t see the new Training option that should appear after setting up the framework. Could you please clarify exactly where this option should appear?

In my Moodle 4.5 site, under Site administration / General, I cannot find the menu Programs / Program custom fields as described in your instructions. Could you please confirm whether this path has changed in version 4.5, or if an additional plugin/component is required?

Thank you very much for your support.

    Best regards,
    Vita

Hello Vita J, I have added some new screenshots to illustrate the use. Most likely you are using older release if you cannot see Program custom fields. I would recommend to use course custom fields for testing first.

Thank you very much. I’ve checked against the new screenshots and can now complete the workflow shown there. However, I’m still not sure how to use it later in courses and learning programs.Could you please also share some related screenshots?
Also, I’ve confirmed that our current version is 4.5.3, it should work fine, right? Thanks。

Hi Petr, just checking in to see if you’re still around. I was wondering if you’ve had a chance to review my previous message. Thanks in advance!

Hello Vita J, I do not understand what you are asking. If you found and error or if documentation is insufficient please create a new issue on GitHub. The plugins database is not a good place to ask for general support. Thanks

I have installed Training Credits and the Custom Field and have set everything up, and it works perfectly for tracking progress for completing annual training hour requirements. I have added a training framework into a program, as my employees need 16 hours from any course, but I do not want or need them to have access to all courses, so I only added the framework to the program and not any specific courses. The only issue is that with this setup, I cannot see which courses are contributing to their total number of hours, and I need to be able to reference that information. Is there any way to expand a credit framework within a program to see what courses comprise their total number of credits received?

Hello Christine, it should be technically possible to display the origin of received credits. I need to figure out where and how to show that information, but I agree this would be a nice addition.

Hello Christine, the latest release includes a new profile page that lists all framework credits obtained by a user - it is linked from the program management page and the credits profile page. Note that capability "tool/mutrain:viewusercredits" is required in user context.

Hi Petr. Yes, I did see that! It is helpful to see the credit totals individually, but it still does not tell me which courses those credits came from.

Hi Christine, in the latest version the current credits is a link that leads to a new page that lists courses where user obtained the credits. You can test it first with admin account which has all the permissions, then if necessary assign a new role with the "tool/mutrain:viewusercredits" capability in system or user contexts to the personal managers that are supposed to see this information.
