A tool to efficiently formulate and save learning goals. This plugin is based off The Differentiator by Ian Byrd https://byrdseed.com/differentiator/.

Install under local/differentiator. There is no navigation node created. You have got to direct your users to that address otherwise, eg. by a link in the footer or in a custom menu.

Note that this ships with a differentiator_user_tour.json file which you can import into Site administration → Appearance → User tours. Multi-language content filter has to be enabled for the site to display the user tour correctly – alternatively you can edit it to preserve just one language.

A few years back, I added the differentiator to the old Moodle 1.9 HTMLEditor https://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?id=9 ( I called it "AskBloom")
It would be very useful if you can add it as a button to ATTO, what do you think?

Dear Nadav, that is a great idea.

One contributor, Christian of University of Lübeck is working – if I'm not mistaken – on a 'Label' activity clone to access your collected local_differentiator learning goals. I'll forward you your idea of the Atto button.

Maybe the two of you could get in touch.

    All the best,
    Luca

Dear Nadav, I'd like to localize this plugin into Chinese. On https://byrdseed.com/differentiator/, I find nowhere to do the localization or request. So, could you tell me how?

Hi wz you should have gotten a private message by me. It's me who's responsible for this plugin.
Basically to port it to your language, too, it's the process mentioned here: https://docs.moodle.org/38/en/Differentiator_local_plugin#Languages_available

    > If you would like to make a translation for another language (it will take you 2-3 hours working in a GoogleDocs spreadsheet document), please add a suggestion at https://github.com/lucaboesch/moodle-local_differentiator/issues

38 Strings can be done in AMOS, the rest are written to database tables at the time of installation and I'll edit them in gladly for you.
