Moodle ClickView settings plugin

Moodle Plugin CI

The ClickView settings plugin for Moodle enables you to configure and setup ClickView in Moodle.

This makes it possible to embed educational videos with the various plugins into your courses and text areas. It is necessary to use the mod_clickview, atto_clickview or tinymce_clickview plugin.

Installing via uploaded ZIP file

  1. Log in to your Moodle site as an admin and go to Site administration > Plugins > Install plugins.
  2. Upload the ZIP file with the plugin code. You should only be prompted to add extra details if your plugin type is not automatically detected.
  3. Check the plugin validation report and finish the installation.

Installing manually

The plugin can be also installed by putting the contents of this directory to

{your/moodle/dirroot}/local/clickview

Afterwards, log in to your Moodle site as an admin and go to Site administration > Notifications to complete the installation.

Alternatively, you can run

$ php admin/cli/upgrade.php

to complete the installation from the command line.

Subscription

This plugin is only available to organizations with an active ClickView subscription. You can request a free trial here https://www.clickvieweducation.com/free-trial/

    Hi,

We have installed this plugin onto our colleges moodle site in place of the LTI we were originally using. We have selected United Kingdom as our region however when attempting to sign in it proceeds through the SSO process and then callsback to online.clickview.com.au/auth/callback stating we have the wrong region. Do you know what the issue could be?

We still have the LTI specified in our ClickView settings, could this be causing the problem?

    Hey Bradley,

It's completely fine to use this plugin alongside LTI, and the two will not conflict at all.

The error that you're describing suggests to me that somehow the Region has not been saved, or is not appropriately being used by one of the plugins that depends on this one. Could you please try setting the region again in the plugin settings? If this doesn't work, could you please let me know which of the plugins you're trying to use? Atto or Tiny MCE?

    Regards,
    Shale

    Hi Shale,

Thanks for your response. We have had our hosting company uninstall and re-install the plugin including setting the region but we still have the same error. We have noticed that they have installed both the Atto and Tiny MCE plugins however only the Tiny MCE one is enabled.

    Regards

    Hey Bradley,

I've given using the Tiny MCE plugin a test, and it is definitely respecting the selected region as I change it between Australian and United Kingdom.
Is it possible your hosting company has installed out old mod_clickview plugin, which required a specific build to be installed for different regions?

If that's the case we have a mod_clickview version that uses the settings from local_clickview on the way. It's currently being reviewed by moodle and should be available for installation here soon.

    Regards,
    Shale
