The collapsible weeks format is a clone of the core weeks format that adds collapsing behaviour to sections in order to reduce page size. A plugin setting allow to retain topics collapse state on a per user basis for the current session or across sessions. This plugin is an alternative to Gareth J. Barnard's format_topcoll plugin (see references below) The purpose is to offer a simple collapsing behaviour for sections in order to reduce course home page size without all the display options that Gareth's plugin offers.

Thanks Jean-Roch for your lightning fast response. I tried it and it's working great. I'm not noticing alignment problems but I'll adjust as needed. Thanks for an awesome format! My teachers are praising your name Somrient

Thanks for feedback Jamie. If it is as good as you say, try the topics version as well and add them to your favourites Complicitat

Added an issue in the bug tracker for "Automatic course end date not respected". Perhaps this problem can be addressed so the option is fully operational as in the core "Weekly" format, please?

    Justin,
In your platform administration you can check available updates for your plugins in the plugins overview section. An if your cron is set up, you should also receive emails on plugins updates

Has anyone tried this with Moodle 3.4? I'm hoping it works with 3.4 too if anyone can confirm thanks.

This is useful especially if you have long topic sections from uploaded resources, activities, etc. Being able to collapse each topic might help a student find their current place in the course.

Can someone check the zip file for this. I pulled down format_collapsibleweeks_moodle36_2018120200 and ended up with a plugin for Canvas Game.

    Hi Jeff,
I've just checked and the downloaded .zip is the correct one...

Hi there, for those who use the plugin, could someone inform me if it is secure and if Moodle stays well with it? (or stays slows, etc...) ... Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
We've have so far received no complaints about performance or security issues with this plugin. It's companion plugin "collapsibletopics" is widely used especially by those using Fordson theme and they seem to get along
    Cheers

Hi @Jean-Roch Meurisse. Thanks for the quick reply!! sorriso Only one more question (I think!)... Can it only be used if we have the Fordson theme installed? Or it works with Boost or Classic Themes (default Moodle Themes!)... Thanks!
