you will find some hints in the Moodle Tracker forum. Dom posts a great solution and it works fine within moodle Version 3.8.

Plugin has not been updated since Moodle 3.1. No one has expressed an interest in covering the cost of the time to upgrade it (it may well not require a lot of work, it simply hasn't been looked at). If you're interested in getting it upgraded to work with recent versions of Moodle, then please get in touch directly.

Hi, I would be interested in use this block also in newer versions, too. Although I use it since a few Upgrades of my moodle and it still works on version 3.11 it would be nice to have an updated Plugin in use. How much may it cost to upgrade? May be we could split up the costs. Thank a lot an with best regards...

Am still using this plug in. Installed it years ago and it has survived numerous in-place moodle upgrades, and have applied the various "fixes" mentioned in here. Is stable.

As handy as this plug in is.. I am surprised that this is the only booking plug in moodle. Or am I wrong ?
The biggest plus is that this plug in does not require yet another log in to another piece of software. And maintenance is easer.

Regardles.. would be really nice if was upgraded to work out of the box. I would feel a lot more comfortable.
Sadly . I am just a government school and cannot pony up any funds. Help us out guys

If you have already tried the latest version of the plugin available at: https://github.com/arborrow/moodle-block_mrbs and that isn't working, then you could ask my employers at https://synergy-learning.com/contact-us/ for a quote for upgrading this plugin to work with M4+.

Due to a lack of anyone willing to fund the ongoing maintenance of this plugin (and me having enough other plugins to maintain in my free time), it hasn't been updated here in 6+ years, so it is not surprising that it is no longer working.

Similar problem here. Went to Moodle 4 and broke MRBS.
Am currently installing the original mrbs from https://mrbs.sourceforge.io/ It is still being maintained too

Just wondering .. rather that a rewrite .. can we just add an auth scheme to the MRBS code base.. they already have one for joomla. That way we can stay current.

Mind you.. being able to change the options via a gui is nice.

I patched the latest Version of MRBS to run under Moodle 4.0 with PHP8. Unfortunately i don't know, how to upload this new version. For instance just try to contact me.

If you have a github account, you can clone the repository ('source control url' linked above) and then create a pull request for your changes to be merged back in.

I'm then happy to review and merge them.

Once that is done, I can look into getting a new version published here.
