Course overview on campus
Moodle installations on university campuses have certain constraints which are not completely supported by Moodle core and the course overview block in Moodle core. We implemented this course overview block to accommodate these needs as much as possible while keeping the features from the original course overview block from Moodle core as much as possible as well.
Please see README file for details about the usage and features of this plugin.
This plugin has reached end of life
This plugin is not actively maintained anymore for Moodle versions beyond 3.7. Please consider to replace it with block_myoverview in Moodle core.

I installed the plugin "course overview on campus".Iit works great.
Kind regards,
Michael
I have released a 2.9 version in the meantime (which does not contain any new functionality at the moment).

I cannot install the plug in, it tells me "cannot write target file"
with so few information about your problem, it's nearly impossible for me to assist you. The only thing I can say is that I don't think that this message comes from my plugin and you should check first if there is a fundamental problem with your moodle installation + if you can't install other plugins, too.
citing our Moodle release support statement from https://github.com/moodleuulm/moodle-block_course_overview_campus/blob/master/README.md:
-----
Due to limited resources, block_course_overview_campus is only maintained for the most recent major release of Moodle. However, previous versions of this plugin which work in legacy major releases of Moodle are still available as-is without any further updates in the Moodle plugins repository.
There may be several weeks after a new major release of Moodle has been published until we can do a compatibility check and fix problems if necessary. If you encounter problems with a new major release of Moodle - or can confirm that block_course_overview_campus still works with a new major relase - please let us know on https://github.com/moodleuulm/moodle-block_course_overview_campus/issues

Currently, we plan to work on 3.1 in July. But as far as I see, there are no fatal errors with the 3.0 version of this plugin on 3.1. If you encounter any problems, please let us know and we will provide a hot fix.
Thanks,
Alex
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Indeed, the release support statement was one of the positive reasons to opt for your plugin. Kudos!
Still, pardon my curiosity... just wanted to plan my way forward.
Glad to hear the news re. 3.1!
Thanks again,
Chris
I really like the plugin and the Moodle in our institution is using your plugin in the dashboard page for every user. However, I found a bug. Let’s first set up a user enrolled in a module within a category and also a module in the sub-category within this category. When selecting this category in the filter, both of the modules can be displayed. However, if refreshing the page, the module in the sub-category is not displayed any more.
It is quite important for my institution, since all teachers are enrolled in modules in a category and sub-category. I hope that you can fix it as soon as possible.
thanks for reporting an issue. As this seems to be a bug, please report it on https://github.com/moodleuulm/moodle-block_course_overview_campus/issues instead of here in the Moodle plugin repo.
Please have a look especially at https://github.com/moodleuulm/moodle-block_course_overview_campus/issues/16 which might already describe your problem.
Thanks,
Alex
as usual, there will be a 3.2 version within 1-2 months due to our internal release cycle.
And, as usual, we expect the 3.1 version still to work on 3.2. So please give it a try and let me know if you encounter any problems.
Thanks,
Alex
Thanks in advance
Any update to Moodle 3.4?
