An official version has now been added to this page (release 2013012300) which solves the encryption issue and also brings compatibility to later versions of Moodle.

Also, The latest version of Windows Share Web Client compatible with LDAP capture is 2013012401 and it can be downloaded from:

Is there a possibility of a version for 2.5 coming out soon?

Denise, you would be doing me a massive favour if you could test the current version out on 2.5 and see if it works.

Please note: The version on Moodle.org is fine to download now as it should no longer contain the security flaws introduced by the forked version of which I (Guy Thomas) had nothing to do with.

Could do with an update for Moodle 3.0 so that enabling ldapcapture will also enable the scheduled task \auth_ldap\task\sync_task rather than having to enable the builtin LDAP server plugin to activate it.
