Do you have a setting "When editing text..." in your profile,with the option to either Use HTML editor or use standard web forms?

Just noting also that there have been a number of reports of the TinyMCE editor not appearing in 2.6 and 2.6 and in order to track it down, could you also state which browsers (and versions) you have tried it with and also how your Moodle was set up (ie did you manually install, or use an installer like Softaculous?)

How big is this field you are pasting into? Could you (a) save as a screenshot and upload in image format or (b) save the excel file as .htm file and switch to code view and paste in the code or (c) save as a pdf and upload the pdf?
