Hi Mary

Your (ever) presence will be missed.

I trust, through all that time spent on-line you kept in touch with the "real" analog world. So happy times finding your way back - and - All the best!

Au revoir!

`I wish I hadn't cried so much!' said Alice, as she swam about, trying to find her way out. `I shall be punished for it now, I suppose, by being drowned in my own tears! That will be a queer thing, to be sure! However, everything is queer to-day.'

Just then she heard something splashing about in the pool a little way off, and she swam nearer to make out what it was: at first she thought it must be a walrus or hippopotamus, but then she remembered how small she was now, and she soon made out that it was only a mouse that had slipped in like herself.

`Would it be of any use, now,' thought Alice, `to speak to this mouse? Everything is so out-of-the-way down here, that I should think very likely it can talk: at any rate, there's no harm in trying.' So she began: `O Mouse, do you know the way out of this pool? I am very tired of swimming about here, O Mouse!'

I indicated sarcasm in my post with a smiley. Couldn't resist reacting to the mixture of present and future the users are forced to, whereas some, like myself, are still struggling with their past.

The serious answer is here. Can't see much ratings as Useful though.

I think this is a result of the world-wide preparedness movement. For those who are unaware of it, Preparedness "is a set of actions that are taken as precautionary measures in the face of potential disasters. Being prepared helps in achieving goals and in avoiding and mitigating negative outcomes." Even OpenAI is Hiring a New 'Head of Preparedness' to Predict/Mitigate AI's Harms.

Moodle in English -> General plugins -> [Sharing cart] Hung adhoc task

I have an ad-hoc task which doesn't want to go away. The error is:

"Run failed '\block_sharing_cart\task\asynchronous_restore_task' tasks"

and the payload,

{"backupid":"2c7f1bc7fdc4db501fb366c6d92ebdb1","item":{"id":1334,"user_id":4187,"file_id":7472584,"parent_item_id":null,"old_instance_id":62944,"type":"section","name":"Sprache 1. Semester_2025","status":1,"sortorder":null,"original_course_fullname":"XYZ (ABC, CDE) \u2013 1LJ","version":3,"timecreated":1764693340,"timemodified":1764693644},"course_id":4233,"backup_settings":{"course_modules_to_include":[365069,365070,365071,365072,365073,365074,365075,365076,365077,365078,332393,365084,365085,365086,365087],"move_to_section_id":63075}}

But there is no course "XYZ (ABC, CDE) \u2013 1LJ". We keep on deleting unused courses, therefor it is possible that the corr. course is gone. What is the best way to get rid of this task?

Congrats a second time! From 4 million down to 35 thousand, that is a reduction of over 99%.

Would somebody confirm:
- The tasks transfer_question_categories and transfer_questions are specific to Moodle 5, right? They correct things that have gone wrong in 4 > 5 upgrade.

- What about the task remove_unused_questions? I couldn't find it in my Moodle 4.5.8.
