Ping!

Sorry, I posted this first in an unrelated discussion (Hunting slow queries in the quiz sub-system). Got it split.

So the issue is, two teachers at most working during an hour or so managed to make the memory consumption jump by 50 GB within 20 minutes! Sharing cart is the suspect - See its Serious Memory issue #257. As massive as it is, it is not proven whether our site has this. Has anybody come across such behaviour? How can I dig deeper?

Did you look at the CSV file in a text editor? Could you post a screenshot of the open CSV in a text editor? You may erase any sensitive information on the image.

So, you didn't bother to follow any of the leads, even something as simple as the "phpinfo.php" https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=471731#p1893434 ? Instead, flipped the PHP switch on Cpanel and "it worked"? What will you do when it "doesn't work" the next time? A replay of this conversation?

Apparently one can "Easily Install #Moodle with #Softaculous (in Under 5 Minutes)". See https://mastodon.social/@radwebhosting/115866816517807713. Interestingly there is no mention of upgrading.

> As the Moodle ver 5.1.1 has a different subdirectory structure, it will not upgrade.

Who says that? Have you seen Upgrading?

> I am using Softaculous to do the upgrade. It states that as the installation is in a sub-directory, it is not possible to upgrade through Softaculous.

There lies the problem. Softaculous is a proprietory product outside of the official Moodle developers (Moodle HQ). You need to contact the makers of Softaculous.
