You said, you're not a security expert, but a better one than me!
My thoughts are not "it hasn't happened so it never will", but how irresponsible I was (and still am in 4.5 LTS) against all those teachers and pupils on my Moodle sites for close to two decades! - assuming the kind of vulnerability exists the way I imagine. That is why I need an authoritative answer.
To the moderators
I hate to bring this topic. I have to, since we are searching for this sub-thread gone missing!
Since it is gone, this is a description from memory. It is about a reply to Version 2 - Upgrading from Moodle 5.0 to Moodle 5.1 on my VPS by someone. The post basically linked to a video tutorial on YouTube, a screen-cast, that was made by the poster (I think). And my reply to it with at least one embedded screenshot. Now the whole sub-thread is gone without a trace!
If I'm alone, I would have thought that was a dawn dream. But there is at least one other witness. Pl. see the following posts:

Although not specifically stated in the forum Code of conduct nor in the Site policy, I was told by a site manageress that the moderators' decision is final and undebatable. (Before the regulars get dismayed, it wasn't THE fairy.) I would highly appreciate, if the moderator could give an advance warning or when that is not possible, forward the form mails to their posters, so that they can refer back the lost posts?
Only thing, our teachers don't want any "scary" changes now the Before-Christmas-Sprint has started. This is just to say we don't take any action till the Spring earliest.
