Hi Cisca,

I'm sorry but I can't add to the tutorials I've already written. I wrote them some months ago and haven't used NanoGong since. I just don't remember now all the ins and outs - just that it was complex which was why I needed to write it all down. People have written that my tutorials worked for them.

"Add the lang and lib folders you found in nanogong-htmlarea-4.1-moodle-1.9.11plus.zip to the moodle folder. There are already lang and lib folders in the moodle folder and I cannot create new ones there. I put the htmlarea files in the lang and lib folders that were part of the activity module files" I'm not 100% sure, but I think the NanoGong lang and lib folders will replace the orginal ones. Just make a copy of the original folders before you try so can put them back if something weird happens

Hope the help you've been getting on the nanogong installation discussion does the trick.

Cheers,

Glenys

Hi Maria,

To put it in less techie language, what Brian says we need to know is :

  • Where are you trying to install Moodle? On your local computer ? If so what system? Windows 7? Mac OS X? Another one?
  • What package exactly did you download? From what page on Moodle?

Cheers,

Glenys

Hi Mary,

I had tried it only on 1.9. I noticed the label itself became invisible. Eek! If I want the numbering back, what do I do? It was just in a Sandbox so no worries.

I've just tried it in the only Moodle 2 course I have access to as a teacher which is Moodle for Language Teaching and TinyMce stripped out the code. It also wouldn't accept just the code in html - I had to write something normally as well. I've had this kind of problem before with TinyMce... and not only in Moodle.

Cheers,

Glenys
