Hi Rick,

I don't know anything about zoov.co but I wouldn't advise going the "click and install" Fantastico, etc. route. From bitter experience I'd recommend installing yourself (Moodle installs really easily) and being in total control of your site.

Moodle can be really heavy on a server but it depends on the type of course you run, not so much on the number of students. If you just want to put up some content, assignments and low forum use you don't ask much; if you do a lot of interactive stuff with Quizzes, Hot Potatoes, hundreds of forum messages a day, etc. it'll be much heavier.

Techier people than me will explain in more sophisticated terms.

Cheers,

Glenys

Hi James,

QuizPort only works in Moodle 1.9. but you can install the Hot Potatoes module in Moodle 2.

Gordon is busy working on TaskChain which will be the equivalent of QuizPort for Moodle 2.

I hope you don't mind it if I suggest we all do a Google search before posting questions here. Gordon, kind as he is, will reply but it's in the interests of all Hot Pot fans that he spend his time on finishing TaskChain. gözkırpıyor

Hi Sarah,

I'm afraid I don't know how to do that - have you done a Google search?

For technical questions like that it's better to post in the Using Moodle forums, this forum is intended to be mainly social. There are only just over 500 people subscribed to this forum while on Using Moodle there are about 7500 so the chances of find someone who does know are far, far greater.

Cheers,
