Moodle in English -> General plugins -> Integrating "Vyew" into Moodle

از Kristina Schneider در
I've been searching for an add-on synchronous class for Moodle for a while now, open source or other. But there doesn't seem to be anything set up yet.

And then I came across these 3 posts...
http://moodle.org/mod/forum/search.php?search=Vyew&id=55

And I checked out Vyew and what a wonderful tool راضی It holds its own with the "big boys" in the synchronous conferencing tools world!

I'm wondering if anyone has integrated this to Moodle so far. I'm trying to wrap my head around the concept of where to start. I'm imagining I'll have to look into getting a bridge built from Moodle to Vyew if I want to be able to have the two talking to one another... Because in essence, I want there to be but one point of entry for learners and instructors.

Any ideas or experiences that anyone is willing to share would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Kristina

Hi Tim,

This GIFT Maker looks excellent. I'm only now starting to look at it. I have a similar concern in that this set up is very much for single choice questions (that is where there is only one single correct answer -- often referred to as multiple choice in error) and I have a great deal of multiple choice questions to program (where there is more then one correct answer).

Seeing as though this whole GIFT process is new to me, I'm not sure I understand the adjustments I need to make to the existing gift_maker.xls in order to make this work.

Thanks for all your efforts and help so far!

Thank you so much for the info.

I actually am a huge believer in group learning activities and have done it with other applications such as conferencing software. I'll have to dig deeper into how Moodle does it.

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer all my questions.

Thank you for your reply Ger.

I'm not a scorm expert. I've read the specs from ADLNet regarding what is required for scorm compliancy and I can wrap my head around most of it. I'm assuming based on what you said that Moodle is probably eligeble to become LMS-RTE 1 conformant. Or is that SCO-RTE 1?

I'm trying to understand what you are saying about the individual vs classroom activities. Are you saying that if Moodle were to achieve a higher level of scorm conformance, the group activities would no longer work?

We don't have much of a choice in that scorm conformance is one of the conditions for the development of our project. I am trying to figure out what level of conformance we have to meet.
