I've never been a great fan of setting a "grade" for the Questionnaire activity. I can be confusing and lead some users towards thinking that a student can have a different grade according to the way he answers the Questionnaire questions, which is definitely not what a survey-like activity such as Questionnaire is for.

The only use of that "grade" is in the way of encouraging students to answer a questionnaire. As you have found out, that "grade" is given once for all, the very first time a questionnaire is submitted.

The hack I gave does work for me.Tried and tested on a moodle 2.6.4 site.

And it has nothing to do with the mod/lesson/timer.js script.

Lesson02 settings:

In Lesson 01

Student 's first attempt: spends 42 seconds in lesson 01
Student 's 2nd attempt: spends 1 min 19 seconds in lesson 01
Total time spent = 2 mins 1 second.

Then, cumulative time spent is greater than the required 2 minutes, student is allowed to take Lesson 02.

This "obsolete" coding does not prevent the Lesson timer from working as expected, as far as I know.

I really don't know why you are not getting the date validation error message.

Which exact version of Questionnaire do you have installed (version and build number)?
