Leslie > Also, when students take the quiz, after answering a question, the screen automatically jumps back up to the first question, and so they have to scroll back down again each time. Shouldn't it jump to the next question, not to the beginning?

I quite agree that on a page with a fairly large number of questions, in adaptive mode, when a student has clicked on the Sumbit button of one question, after the page has refreshed and is displaying the feedback for that question, the screen should jump back to that question, not to the beginning of the screen. This probably could be achieved with some Javascript. I'll try to look at it in the coming days... At the moment, the Moodle interface is still plagued with a lot of page refeshes, and I am looking forward to the promise of fewer page refreshes with the adoption of AJAX in future versions...

Sorry but I can't read your screen shot, things are all mixed up.
Can you take exactly these steps and report back?
  1. In the questions bank, select as new question ShortAnswer
  2. on the edit screen: enter question name, question text, e.g. "name an animal (answer is cat)"
  3. in the Answer 1 field enter cat
  4. in the Grade dropdown list select 100%
  5. in the Feedback field enter OK
  6. click Save changes
  7. test your question in preview mode
  8. click Fill with correct button
  9. get Correct message & OK feedback message displayed

Hello,
I know there is a maximum size for attachments to messages posted on these forums. I quite often need to post screen shots, which can easily exceed the limit of 100k. I think it used to be the case that when one wants to attach a larger file a warning would be displayed. Recently I have noticed that no warning is issued, your message is simply posted, but without the oversize attachment.
I think it would be more user-friendly if, when users want to attach a file exceeding the limit a warning message were displayed, and, very important, that warning message would clearly say what that limit is!
Thanks
Joseph
