This is by design (but I don't know why). The Lesson activity is no longer actively maintained, so I'm afraid opening a feature request in the bug tracker would be useless. 🙃
While I quite agree with Christopher that correcting minor mistakes in a Quiz's questions is a desirable feature, I would question this option in a live quiz. In my opinion, if you modify questions at a stage when some students have already taken the quiz, it's not fair on those students. They are not given the same quiz as those students who take the quiz after it's been modified. And they would be entitled to protest.🙃
Thanks for that impressive demo, Dominique. I expect that is just a teaser and you will make this new question type available in the future ?
Just for the record. If you are using H5P activities on Moodle, a Jigsaw Puzzle activity is available. Not yet on the officiel H5P hub but downloadable from Oliver Tacke's website at : https://www.olivertacke.de/labs/2022/01/17/you-would-jig-if-you-saw-that-puzzle/. I've tested it and it's quite easy to use.
