I'm afraid you are still not getting it. Answers which have not been checked by the student should not be marked with a "correct tick" nor an "incorrect cross".

I'm afraid that is definitely not the way that Moodle MCQ questions work. And what you would like to see does not make sense.

A tick means: you selected a correct answer

A cross means: you selected a wrong answer

In your example, since only the first answer has been selected, you cannot have ticks or crosses for any of the other answers. Your way of doing things would be quite confusing to the student.

For me this question behaviour is exactly as expected. I don't understand what you mean by "... not directly in the answers." Could you please be more explicit and show us what you want?
