Dobby,
Have you tried with JPEG images (instead of GIF)? Can you insert images in the other quiz question types? Is it only with the matching question type that you are having a problem?
Try to upgrade to the very latest Moodle 2.0 Preview version.

Hi Dobby,

1.- You had originally posted your question to the Lesson module forum, where I advised you to post it to this Testing and QA forum since it is related to Moodle 2.0 Preview version. Actually I see from your screenshots that you are talking about the Quiz module matching question, not the Lesson module. Please respect the Moodle terminology when posting to these forums, it really helps people help you.

2.- I have tried to reproduce the problem you describe but could not. Inserting images in the left column of pairs to be matched works fine (see attached screenshot).

3.- When you preview your matching question, are you in the same teacher role as when you create/edit the question? Or have you switched from teacher to student role?

4.- In preview mode, what information do you see about those missing images when you right-click on the missing image icon? For example, using Firefox, right-click on icon, select Image Properties and you should see something like the following (for my Denmark flag pic):

Hi Brian,

Thanks for reporting this bug. I think I have found a fix for it, see MDL-24191. If you can't wait for the fix to be included in a future Moodle distribution and you are confident enough to hack your moodle core files, you can apply the patch I attached to the bug report. It's only a minor change in 2 lines of file mod/lesson/action/continue.php. But, being such an amateur programmer, I dare not say how many hours it took me to diagnose the bug and find that fix.

Hi Joachim,
I've just downloaded the BasicWords_UK.xml glossary and imported it into a new, empty glossary on my local moodle test site. It says "

Total entries:	2284
Imported entries:	2284

When you say "nothing ends up in the glossary", what do you mean exactly? Do you get the message "Imported entries: 2284" or not?
Please note that the definitions in that glossary have not been entered; all entries are the same:
ability: BASICword
able: BASICword
about: BASICword
etc.
which makes it not a very useful glossary.

Hi Mary and thanks for the help. You are misunderstanding me. In this case I do not want to use a files repository inside my moodle 2.0 server/moodledata/ folder, but in a totally different place on the web.
