hi Prashant
I am quite sure there are only two reasons for this
1. you may not have turned 'adaptive mode' to 'yes'.......without this, negative marking doesn't work(unlike indian exams where we think a wrong answer must be a guess and deduct marks for guessing, westerners give importance to 'learning' and this is evident here that they wanna ensure student attempts repeatedly till he knows whats right BUT gets penalised at the same time....)
2. turn grading method to last attempt.

Hi
I am creating a test in which 10 factors of personality are being assessed like warmth, team playing capability, anger, etc etc
i have 10 questions for each trait making a total of 100
This test , when we conduct manually we randomise the quwestions and then calculate the score of each 10 questions for a particular trait separately
e.g. warmth- 3/10
anger- 6/10
team role- 5/10
and then we give feedback for each type of trait
e.g. warmth- 3/10---you are not a very warm person
anger- 6/10----you get angry easily
team role- 5/10----you are an average team player
The only idea i Have is that i'll have to make 10 quizzes , one for each part, and then create 11th quiz where the candidates will manually feed their own scores for each of the ten parts they have taken and feedback will be shown to them.
does anyone have a better idea how to do it in a way that it can be a single composite quiz and manual report creation can be avoided.

Hi
I need to create a quiz (Kind of aptitude test) at the end of which the system should give the candidate a feedback dependant on the score
example
If your score is 5/20- feedback should say=> very low score blah blah
6-10/20- feedback should say=> average score blah blah
11-15/20- feedback should say=> good score blah blah
16-20/20- feedback should say=> very high score blah blah
can this be done?

Hi
I have moodle1.6
My cron script runs ok
i have scheduled the backups for every night in default directory.
Now the problem is whenever it runs backup, a simple error message. here is the transcript
Consequently i am neither able to backup nor able to import.
this happens when it begins to copy files.
I have checked all things that i knew to check.
is there any CRUCIAL step i am missing?
i tried using default directory by leaving a blank field in the backup setup and then i also tried by mentioning a separate directory path and the directory was chmod 777
Can someone help?
Thanx
