I use elgg.net but am not an expert. I wasn't sure if you were talking about elgg/moodle integration (about which I know nothing). If it's customising your blog, then do this
1. Choose account settings (top rh of your page)
2. Click Change theme.
3. Look for theme that you like then Click create theme to make your personal theme that you can edit.
You can do quite a lot of fancy things with this but adding a picture and customising the text makes quite an impact.

Could you explain a bit more about how discussion could focus aroung blogs? My understanding is that blogs don't have comments so I am not sure how that works.

So how do we implement this juke box with the tools that we have at our disposal (glossary, database, WIKI, ??)
