This is a very interesting thread, and clearly Zotero is one to watch. I installed it and tried to import my 2k+ refs database but hit problems and can't find a way for Zotero to replace Endnote in my work. As is often said, data is king.
However, I did find a reference to some people using Zotero to gather references online, then importing them to Endnote. At present, it seems that Zotero has limited styles and the range of styles and the style editor in Endnote is better.

John, your comment makes me feel happy (though I don't think that ANYTHING goes). But is is the Lounge.
Thanks Don,
That is really helpful for for another piece of work I am doing
Any chance of a reference?

I wonder if there isn't an economic argument in here somewhere. Different sets of people could agree about the importance of the universal right to education but disagree about how it was achieved. If Set A believed that the way to achieve was not through 'traditional' schools but through mass production, translation and distribution of electronic tutor systems through a different from of social network (than schools) then they may reject some of the tenets of social constructivism. Such systems could support constructionism I suppose, and even social constructionism/constructivism through networks but people would still be needed.

However, I would suspect that a big argument could be about the role of/ need for teachers who cannot be replicated as easily and cheaply as software.

So do we have to pay to access this? If so , perhaps you could provide a synopsis.
