This isn't really a Moodle issue - you didn't get that far.
As the error trace suggests, the first place I would look is in the web server error log.

I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm saying that I think it's a bad idea.
If you hack Moodle so that it runs in an unsupported environment if you then subsequently have problems the answer will always be "fix your environment, first". Is that really where you want to be?

I must admit - I didn't think there was anything in Moosh to update Moodle.
What it does have is a bunch of commands to work with additional plugins. I'm not sure they are entirely useful to you. More if you are scripting upgrades for multiple sites.
