At this point, you may have to consider how much you want this and consider taking on one of these unloved plugins. Whether that be by supporting the plugin yourself of paying somebody to do it.

Before installing the plugin enable Debugging. Up full to 'Developer' and tick 'Display errors'.

Reproduce the problem, are any errors displayed now?

I don't know anything about xampp but I assume it has error logs that you can look at. That would also be useful.
