Just to understand... do you mean you are getting the "session timed out" message sooner than you are expecting? Or something else?

Can you switch on Debugging (up to developer and show errors). That, at least, will give a trace for this error which should help.

I *think* (i.e. you shouldn't take my word for it) that this is a known bodge in the Windows version. What it took to make it work and so on...

The release notes (https://moodledev.io/general/releases/4.4) should be "gospel". Remember, the windows package is not intended for production use.
