Almost everyone I've tried this idea out on have been very enthusiastic. I'd like to work on it ASAP. Some potential funding for it fell through, but I'm still following up options.

I've never heard of them before. Looks like they've just written a plugin or something.

OK, this is finally being done today. I've done the refactoring - now we're just waiting for Sourceforge to replace the repository with the new one.

Contrib write access is currently disabled completely to avoid anybody losing any code.

MDLSITE-78 has the ongoing story about this.
