Copying courses without duplicating existing resources

Copying courses without duplicating existing resources

Hi, I've tried finding this somewhere else, but can't see where it might be answered. I've set up 3 courses in parallel (3 different classes but same course content for each) by doing one and then importing data across to the others, but when I add some new resources to one course I want to update the others too.

When I try to import data I just get everything that was there reproduced (ie 6 powerpoints instead of 3) as well as my new resources. How do I go about just copying the new resources I've added?

Put all the resources in one course only, then, copy the address (url) of the resource and add it as a link in the other courses. This should fix it.

You may consider to use meta-course for common data (ressources and activities) and true courses for specific data.

A meta course inherits students from parent courses but has is own space for ressources and activities, so each student of any parent course  can  access to common data, with correct rights and capacities.
