Thanks, that did it!
I hadn't set students-can-edit to "yes" because I wanted to restrict it to teachers (creators), but allowing students to edit is better than making everyone an administrator! Also, it isn't necessary to make it a secondary glossary. It works the same way as the primary glossary.
