Hi,
Just running an install of moodle on our ages old system. I am very impressed with the performance it has running on even a low end machine.
My problem comes in that our students only have access to very old windows NT4 workstations. Using the vanilla Explorer installed, we have a multitude of problems with it running correctly and we have to click through many errors.
Apparently updating Explorer is a big deal, and of course we have zero budget. My question is, what 3rd party browser would be compatible with NT4 and be up to date enough to render the moodle site correctly? Due to the age of the system, it needs to be a fairly basic browser. I've been looking into Opera, but can't find when NT4 support ended.
Yours,
Damo
NT4 is nearly as old as me, so I think you might struggle. I know that Firefox does not support it for example.
Just an off-the-wall possibility. If you only really use the desktops for web browsing, why not install Linux on them?
