A new name for the block My Teachers but which one ?

Helo !

This is a moment that I wonder whether it is necessary to rename the block My Teachers whose name is no longer quite reflecting the features: If it can effectively display informations about the teacher who is in the same group that the student connected, it also offers the possibility inverse : display all "his" students for a teacher . All other combinations is possible : displaying all other participants in my group / courses, displaying administrators to contact, etc. ... In short, you can chose who display to who in function of the roles.

But which new name ? pensif
Please I need your ideas !

Already Two ideas from the french course :
- My Peers Block
- P3 Block ( Pairs, Prof and Potes - in french)

  • The name MyPeers shows the diversity, therefore the large options range of this newly optimised block.
  • P3 or P3 seems to refer more to a scientific or mathematical term, which is not the case for this block. Good idea anyway, but only for a French community who can understand the last term "Potes" (I am French... wink)
I will stick to the first Idea. I vote for MyPeers...

Salut Étienne!

Nice block you have made. I have not yet installed it but I have been looking for something like this. The names suggested are ok. Also it is neat if one is allowed to change the name of the block to suit the context one is working in.

Perhaps this is not the place, but I wonder if I can ask these questions as wel:
  • Is the latest version compatible with Moodle 1.9?
  • Does the block show if the persons in the block are online?
  • Have you thought about showing the persons' Skype status, or otherwise integrating Skype?

  • The last version is here and only compatible with 1.9
  • no. but you / I can add this good idea in the todo list ( please use the tracker)
  • yes. You can choose to show it, if it is in the profile.
