I will check into Elgg and see how it fits my purpose.
I like Moodle and Joomla a lot and would love to see them work together as described in promoodle. I guess I am not on the faint-hearted side then
I will definitely have to deal with different user groups whom I would like to see register with more than just a username and password.
Then, I would like them to be able to post projects and alike. Can Moodle alone achieve this?
