Display a block on profile page

Hi All,

I have modified the edit profile page for my requirements(removed a lot fields and made it short). I have created a block that has the profile page as a link and the change password page link and a few other general purpose links. And now I need to add this block which will server as a dash board to the students on the edit profile page, change password page and a few other similar pages that I have created.

I have been reading but have not been able to find any help on how to allow blocks to be added and displayed to students on the edit profile page.

Is it possible to add blocks on non module, non course pages?

Any body any ideas?

I also want to display a block on a non-course page...
on resource pages - mod/resource/view.php
my resources are html pages & were added at site level, course id=1

I'd appreciate ideas too please smile

I also want to add blocks to some non-course pages. Specifically forums. I've seen several posts with this type of question, but no answers. I'm pretty new to Moodle, but I was hoping that this type of thing could be controlled with a theme. Any thoughts on how to do this or a place to start looking?
