I have installed Moodle 1.9 in mutualized hosting; but when I open the chat (with frames and Javascripits), it works for about 2 mn and I'm disconnected; I'm asked to connect again for only the chat; but the chat without frames and Java works normally.
I need help.

I have Moodle 1.9 (build 20080316) installed on a Linux server. Since upgrading my OS to Ubuntu Linux 8.10 (Hardy) which comes with Firefox 3.0.1 by default, I am having problems with the chat module.
I can enter the chatroom and everything works as expected, but after approximately 2 minutes the chat window will no longer show new messages posted by me or other participants - eventhough it keeps going through the motions of refreshing.
When I use the non-javascript chat this does not happen - so it must be a javascript issue right? Chat on this same server worked fine under Firefox 3.0.0rc2. What has changed? Has firefox become more intolerant or are there Javascript bugs in Moodle 1.9 ?
