Hi Garry!
I am using moodle 1.9.0 (stable) and downloaded it from moodle site itself. I am using windows xp professional with service pack 2 (build 2600). The same procedure of installation worked on a desktop, so i think i am putting the paths and things right. Mind blowing really.... would be great if you can suggest anything.
thanks buddy

Hi Tatsuya!
Thanks for the reply man. Actually i was trying fresh installation which i tried on a desktop, where it all went right. However, due to some unknown reasons, it gives the above warning and stops on my laptop. The operating system and moodle version details i had already posted above. I wonder, is there anything to do with Toshibe drivers... may be, well really need an expert opinion on that. May be if some one could interpret the the line 53 on install.php.... what it says or asks for? I am a novice towards PHP and databases. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks

Aamer Shah:
I installed moodle in my PC, but in Win XP. I believe that something similar becomes: 1. To install a APPSERV or a XAMPP, of first is the one that instlé in my PC; on the second, I do not know how it is. 2. To name a folder root. 2b. Password of the folder, requests it in the installation. 3. To copy the folder of Moodle and to beat in C: \Appserv\www 4. Later to enter the local Host: from the navigator to write in the bar of directions: http://127.0.0.1/moodle (to give to enter) 4.a Instalar 5. To choose language 6. to follow the instructions. That was what I did in my PC, in win.
I hope to have helped.
Greetings.
Jose de Jesus.
Hello Aamer,
This may sound you very fool.
I've tried to install Moodle with my browser configured to "reject cookies",
and I get the same warnings that you've posted.
You can see this in the image included below.
Maybe if you verify that your browser accepts at least the localhost cookies,
the installation may continue.
